Special groups of first year subjects

Grups especials curs 2022-2023

  • Normative Grammar of the Spanish Language:
The G7 group is addressed to students who come from exchange programmes with other non-Spanish universities, or who have entered the degree through a non-ordinary route. (The G7 group does not appear in the automation program, so you need to enrol any other group and request the change via email at filocom.primer.graus@ub.edu)

    Introduction to Linguistics:
Students of the degree of Linguistics will be enrolled in the G6 or H3 groups. Students of other degrees may also be enrolled in these groups.
The G8 group will be given in English.

    Introduction to the French Language:
The G2 group is aimed at students with a French level equivalent to two or more language school courses. It is recommended that the G2 group be enrolled in the graduate of the Grade of Modern Languages and Literatures (French itinerary) that will study French Language I.

    Introduction to Greek I:
The enrolment of the G1 group is restricted to students of the degree of Classical Philology and the other groups to students of other degrees.

    Latin I:
The enrolment of the G4 group is restricted to students of the degree of Classical Philology.
The groups G6, G7 and G9 will have a basic level.
For the other groups it is recommended to have completed Latin in 2nd Baccalaureate.

    Catalan Language I:

    - Catalan Philology students are recommended to enroll in group G1.

    - ERASMUS students: contact the subject coordinator (Josep Besa,  jbesa@ub.edu)

    - Students without training in Catalan or with a basic, elementary or intermediate level:

The subject Catalan Language I is not an introduction to Catalan for beginners. It is expected that at the end of the year the level reached will be at least comparable to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Before enrolling in Catalan Language and students who do not have sufficient knowledge of Catalan must, therefore, train lower levels through their own means or in the Language Services of the University of Barcelona (http://www.ub.edu/sl/ca/acollida/).

    Preliminary German:
The G1 group (matin) is aimed at those students with basic knowledge of the German language. Students are recommended to take the German Language I subject (Grau de Llenguas Modernes i Literatures con Alemany) to enroll in the G1 group.
