Information for companies and institutions
International internships within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program are aimed at undergraduate students (except for the Communication and Cultural Industries Degree) or university master's degree.
Collaborating entities must formalize the agreement with the Faculty of Philology and Communication (UB). In addition, they can specify the offer of internships within the deadlines established by the program requirements and can address the internships to students of those degrees they consider suitable.
The final selection of students is the responsibility of the Faculty of Philology and Communication. The criteria for selection are exclusively academic; specifically, it will take into account:
- The suitability of the student's academic profile to the internship offer.
- The average grade of the academic record and the number of credits passed.
- The level of language (or languages) required by the company or institution to carry out the internship.
The deadline for the 2025 call (to carry out the internship in the 2025-2026 academic year) is as follows:
REQUEST OF THE STUDENT | STAY OF PRACTICES |
From November 7, 2022 to January 11, 2023 | For first or second semester stays or the entire academic year |
From April 14 to 28, 2023 | |
From September 5 to November 3, 2023 | For second semester stays |
Selected students will be able to stay for between 2 and 12 consecutive months and within the same academic year, depending on when the application is made. The "Erasmus+ internship" student is considered a full-time student, so he can work a maximum of eight hours a day (five days a week).
The total number of practical hours must not exceed 750 hours. Only in exceptional circumstances will the possibility of extending them up to a maximum of 900 hours be considered.
The selected students will be responsible for all expenses arising from international mobility. They must also have medical insurance for the duration of their stay. The University of Barcelona takes out accident, repatriation and civil liability insurance that covers the stay of the selected students.
The Faculty of Philology and Communication invites entities that host a student in practice to consider awarding him/her a stipend in the form of a bag or help with travel and accommodation expenses, given that the student will spend the entire day the internships and will not have material time to develop a remunerated work activity in the country of destination.
