#ProfessorCIC | Solo arrojaron and Apartamentos Paradiso have been selected for the D’A Festival

Apartmentos Paradiso and Solo Arrojaron, directed by members of the Bachelor's degree in Communication and the Culture Industry, have been nominated for the fourteenth edition of the D'A festival.

Solo Arrojaron, directed by the Audiovisual teaching support laboratories’ technician, Adrià Pagès, has been nominated for the Un Impulso Colectivo section, which celebrates the most daring and groundbreaking proposals. The film revolves around the peculiar journey of two friends through the countryside as they finish a song they had left unfinished. A film about friendship and loss, but one that never loses its sense of humor. The film will be screened on April 5th at the CCCB (22.00 h) and on April 10th at the Zumzeig (19.00 h).

Apartamentos Paradiso, co-directed by the professor of "The Audiovisual Production Process" Víctor Jiménez and Andreu Garcia, has been nominated for the short film section of Un Impulso Colectivo. The film follows the monotonous life of Chumi, the Apartamentos Paradiso’s janitor, who has made metal detection the only interesting activity in his daily life. Everything changes when he meets Sergi, a boy who will become the perfect sidekick. The short film, which had already been selected by the Malaga Festival, will be screened on April 5th at the CCCB (21.00 h).

The D'A festival has become an icon of contemporary auteur cinema on an international scale. This edition will take place from April 4th to the 14th at the CCCB, Mooby Cines Aribau, Filmoteca de Catalunya, Zumzeig, Casa Montjuïc, and Paral·lel 62.
