Communication and the Culture Industry

The Communication section offers a tutoring service that is available to students throughout their degree studies. The aim of this service is to guide them and help them resolve any questions they may have during their training.

1. Help students, at the beginning of their studies, to integrate into the university world.

2. Guide students in their curricular route and, at the end of their studies, guide them with a view to further studies and insertion into the world of work.

3. Detect and respond to problems that may be encountered throughout their training.

• 1st year: tutoring and collective presentation session

Once classes have started, there is an initial collective session aimed at first-year students of the Communication and Cultural Industries degree. This session has the following objectives:

1.     Welcome the students, while facilitating the reception at the center.
2.     Inform them about the operation of the Department.
3.     Guide and advise them on how to approach their studies.
4.     Publicize the section's operating protocols, and the information and communication mechanisms that it, as well as the Department and the Faculty, make available to you.
5.     Present the people who are in charge of tutoring during the different courses, providing their contact details. From this initial session, students can contact the tutors whenever they want to receive advice or have to solve a problem related to their studies.

•     2nd year - 3rd year: November

1.     Inform students about mobility possibilities, national and international exchange programs (Seneca/SICUE, Erasmus, etc.).
2.     Inform students about the call for collaboration grants with the departments.

•     4th year: April

Fourth-year students are offered a session on those services related to employability offered by the Faculty, as well as guidance on possible career and training opportunities and opportunities (Masters and Postgraduates in the Department) that they should know about.
