Arrival and departure

ARRIVAL

It is recommended to arrive in Barcelona with some anticipation in order to do the registration and enrolment process. Recommended dates:
- For first semester and full-year stays: between two and three weeks before the start of the semester.
- For the second semester stays: 10 days before the start of the semester.

Welcome session
A Welcome session is held for the foreign students where detailed information is provided about registration and enrolment process, as well as the system for signing certificates of arrival and other documents that students may need, along with addressing common concerns when starting a stay abroad.
Attendance to the session is mandatory.

DEPARTURE

Once the student has completed the stay and has been assessed during the evaluation period, they must come to the IRO in order to obtain the signature for the certificate of arrival (if they have one) or to collect one.

The màximum date for this certificate is the end date of the evaluation period, regardless of the date stated in the Student¡s mobility agreement.
Once this process is completed, students may choose to remain in the country if they wish, but for legal purposes, they are no longer students of the UB.

Transcript of Records
The transcript of records is send to both the student and the home institution as soon as it becomes available.
