Access routes
This is the way to access all students: students with University Admissions Tests, students with the tests for the under-25s or 45s, graduates of CFGS or FP2, students with university studies started or completed (including students from the Faculty of Philology and Communication who want to change degrees), etc.
Students at the Faculty that you change their degree, once the university pre-enrolment has been completed, will have to apply for the recognition of the corresponding credits (choice the type of application “Studio recognition and/or work and professional experience” and only the pre-enrolment safeguard must be attached to it), via the online procedure on the Faculty website.
Terms of university pre-enrolment 2024:
- June call: from 4 to 28 June
- September 18 and September 19

This way you will be able to access graduate studies students with partial Spanish official university studies who request a change of university or a change of Spanish official university studies and who are recognised with a minimum of 30 ECTS credits.
- Communication and the Culture Industry: There are no places to access via this route. The only way to access this degree is through university pre-enrolment. Subsequently, it will be possible to apply for recognition of university studies initiated previously.
- English Studies: 20 places
- Arab and hebrew Studies: 20 places
- Literary Theory and Comparative Literature: 20 places
- Catalan: 20 places
- Classics: 20 places
- Spanish: 20 places
- Linguistics: 20 places

- Moderns Language and Literature: 20 places

- Romance Languages and Literatures: 20 places
Admission criteria: qualification of university entrance exams or equivalent.

To request admission via this route, the following two procedures must be made online, simultaneously:
FIRST
Request recognition of past credits in previous studies.
Students from other universities or faculties will have to submit the following documentation in pdf format:
- DNI fotocopy
- request credit recognition and admission
- academic certificate showing the subjects, the number of credits and the qualification obtained in the studies of origin, as well as the information of the studies that gave access to the University (only academic record in the case of UB students)
course course programs, duly sealed by the corresponding center
in case it is not included in the academic certificate, authentic copy of the accrediting documentation that gave access to the University
Students at the UB Faculty of Philology and Communication who want to change degrees in this way should only upload the request credit recognition and admission.
In this procedure, the fee must be paid for "study of the validation/recognition request"
SECOND
Request admission with 30 recognised credits.
In the application, you can leave the "Number of recognized credits" field blank and do not need to provide any documentation, in case you do not have the recognition resolution yet.

Translate of file: all students who obtain access to a degree in Philology through this pathway and the change of studies implies a change of university will have to pay the rate of transfer of file to the university where they carried out the studies that give them access.
In case the student obtains a recognition of less than 30 credits, they must pre-enrol at university level (see section 1) to apply for a place in the degree by which the aforementioned recognition has been requested.
SIMULTANEOUS STUDIES
University students can apply for the simultaneousness of two bachelor's degree courses provided that the regulations of each university concerned permit it. The way in this case will always be university pre-enrolment (see paragraph 1).
However, students who wish to enter a course for the purpose of simultaneously studying others who have already begun, must pre-enrol for the university and, upon obtaining the place, declare the simultaneousness of the two courses at the time of enrollment.
CREDIT RECOGNITION AND TRANSFER
Recognition of credits: credits obtained in previous official studies that will be computed for the purposes of obtaining the degree
Transfer of credits: The inclusion in the student's academic record of credits obtained in previous official studies that have not led to the obtaining of an official degree. Transfer is not proceeded if the student expresses the will to alternate or simultaneously alternate their studies.
a) Graduate students (plan 2001) who have not completed your studies must adapt to the bachelor's degree courses that replace your degree. You have at your disposal, through World UB or your personal space, the SIMULATOR that UB maintains implemented. In the simulation obtained, which is only informative, you can see what recognition of your studies is to the degree.

You will then have to submit the application for adaptation, from 1 to 30 June 2023, by means of a generic application to the UB Electronic See.
b) Graduate students of the plans 1994, 1981 or earlier, who at the time abandoned the studies and students of the grades extinct (Romanian Philology) or in the process of extinction (Arab and Hebrew Studies) may request adaptation to the current degree that replaces them with the same form and procedure as in the previous case.
*In the case of access to the degree in Modern Languages and Literatures, only two languages can be studied in the linguistic fields of German, English, Catalan, Spanish, French, Galician/Portuguese, Italian or Russian.
*In the case of access to the degree of Linguistics, only the itinerary of two languages can be studied, in the linguistic fields of German, English, Catalan, Spanish, French or Russian.
Students with university studies abroad who wish to study undergraduate degrees (only those indicated in paragraph 2) may apply for the validation of their studies.

The application and the required documentation must be submitted to the Registration Assistance Office, with compulsory prior appointment.
Maximum date to submit validation request: 30 September 2024
The Secretariat will contact the student for payment of the fee corresponding to "the study of the validation request".
In case the student obtains a validation of 30 or more credits, they must submit the online procedure for applying for admission with 30 recognized credits".
In case the student obtains a validation of less than 30 credits, the university pre-enrolment must be done (see section 1) to request a place in the degree by which the validation has been requested.
