The CPDT is a platform born in 2004 which is made up of about forty civil society organizations in Spain that fight against torture and for the defence of human rights. The CDPT was born with the main objective of ensuring the application and monitoring of international instruments and regulations for the prevention of torture in the country, with special interest in the UN’s Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment
