Doctoral studies

A doctoral degree is the highest academic qualification awarded by the University. It qualifies the holder to teach and research in the public university system. The doctoral degree is obtained by completing a doctoral programme and successfully defending the doctoral thesis.

The Faculty of Nursing coordinates a doctoral programme: Nursing and Health. In addition to its own doctoral programme, the Faculty contributes to other doctoral programmes coordinated at the University of Barcelona and by other universities in Spain and around the world.
