Located just south of Barcelona, in the city of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, and very near to the Barcelona Airport, the campus is easily accessible by public transport. It can also be easily reached by the main roads from Barcelona.

The Bellvitge Health Sciences Campus consists of a set of rooms and facilities used for the teaching and research activity of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. In addition to the classroom buildings and government pavilion, it is home to three health sciences institutions related to the university, two university hospitals — Bellvitge Hospital and Hospital Duran i Reynals (home to the Catalan Institute of Oncology) — and a biomedical research institute (IDIBELL).

The Bellvitge Health Sciences Campus has also partnered with several other hospitals: Hospital General de l’Hospitalet-Consorci Sanitari Integral (CRH), Hospital de Sant Joan Despí Moisès Broggi, Hospital de Viladecans, Hospital de Sant Boi de Llobregat and Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu.
