Information for the student – Biomedical Engineering
Organization and teaching methodology
The Degree in Biomedical Engineering is organized following the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). To obtain the degree the student must pass a total of 240 credits defined following the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which is the system adopted to facilitate student mobility and the recognition of academic qualifications within universities of the EHEA. ECTS credits are based on the work done and the skills acquired by the student.
The teaching of Biomedical Engineering in UB is face-to-face. The teaching plan of each subject defines the activities, methodologies, and the system of learning assessment. The teaching plans are designed considering the equivalence of an ECTS with 25 hours of student dedication, including the total face-to-face hours, the time of elaboration of directed works as well as the total of hours destined to autonomous learning.
