Jaume Tarabal Bosch

Jaume Tarabal Bosch is an associate professor in Civil Law at the University of Barcelona. He has completed research stays at a handful of universities in Europe (Università di Bologna, 2007-2009; Universität Hamburg, 2011; Università di Roma-Tor Vergata, 2012) and the United States (Columbia Law School, NY, 2007; University of Arizona, Tucson, 2008; University of Iowa, 2016). He has also been invited to teach as a guest professor at the Università degli Studi di Trento (2012), the Università di Cagliari (2013), WWU Münster (2015), the Normal University of Beijing (2017) and the Nova Southeastern University of Florida (2018).

Since 2005, Jaume Tarabal Bosch has served continuously as a researcher on successive ministerial research projects led by Prof. F. Badosa Coll and Prof. E. Lauroba Lacasa. In addition, he is co-PI of a current project (PID2021-126857NB-I00) on intergenerational solidarity, property law, and asset forecasting mechanisms in an ageing society entitled “Mecanismos de previsión patrimonial en una sociedad envejecida: solidaridad intergeneracional y derecho de bienes”. Since 2005, he has also been a member of the UB research group on Catalan civil law, coordinated by Dr. E. Arroyo i Amayuelas and funded by AGAUR (currently, 2021 SGR 00347 Q0818001J).

Jaume Tarabal Bosch has obtained two AQU research premiums and two UB teaching premiums.

He sits on the executive council of the civil law section of the Barcelona Bar Association and on the board of the Catalan Association of Specialists in Inheritance Law.
