National mobility programmes (SICUE)

In order to improve the quality of education and for the benefit of students, Spanish universities establish systems that favor student mobility by promoting the development of exchange programs. In order to make this mobility between university centers in Spain a reality, the Rectors of the Spanish universities signed a framework agreement for the establishment of a mobility program between Spanish universities, which is regulated by the "System of exchange between Spanish university centers" - SICUE -, document drawn up by the Conference of University Rectors CRUE  inspired by the experience of the Erasmus program of the European Union.

Through this program, students from Spanish universities can complete part of their studies at any of the other Spanish universities with which their center has established an agreement, with the guarantee of academic recognition and benefit, as well as of adaptation to their curricular profile.

Aspects to consider

  • You must have passed a minimum of 45 credits and be enrolled in a minimum of 30 credits.
  • The duration of the exchange must match the number of months of the offer and the total number of credits to be taken will not be less than:
  • Half-term stays (5 months): 24 credits
  • Full course stays (9 months): 45 credits
  • In those cases in which the student has fewer credits left to complete his studies than the minimum required for each type of stay, he may opt for the exchange of these credits, even if these are less than the minimum required as long as all of them are enrolled at the university of origin and they are included in the bilateral SICUE agreement.
  • The allocation of a place by the UB does not imply automatic acceptance at the destination university.
  • Enrollment and the corresponding payment will be made at the UB, not at the destination university; therefore, you will enjoy the same tuition fee discounts and exemptions, if applicable.

If you want to make a mobility stay you must follow the following steps:

  • Consult the website of SICUE National Mobility to see all the calls. You can also see the universities with agreements in force and the requirements for each place: number of places offered and length of stay in the following link.< /span>
  • Make the request online through the Web page of SICUE National Mobility.
  • Applications will not be accepted from students who, having obtained a place in the previous call, have not joined the exchange, and have not submitted the corresponding resignation.
  • The resolution of the call will be published on the website.
  • NON-presentation of the resignation within the established term will be understood as acceptance of the position. The resignation request duly signed must be sent to the Student Secretariat of the Faculty of Law to the following email: mobilitat.dret@ub.edu. The submission of the resignation once the final allocation of places has been published will result in the loss of preference in subsequent calls for choosing a place in the event of a tie.
  • It is possible to request the extension or reduction of the stay. In this case the corresponding document must be filled out and signed and send it to mobilitat.dret@ub.edu.
  • If you want to change the semester of your stay, you must communicate this by email to mobilitat.dret@ub.edu

NOTICE! All documents must be signed with an electronic signature. If you do not have a digital certificate, you can request it at the following link

  • Once the place has been obtained, you must complete the academic agreement.
  • Once the academic agreement has been verified by the head of studies, the student will send it digitally signed to mobilitat.dret@ub.edu. It will be the secretary of law who will collect the signatures of the two universities
  • Any modification of the subjects once the stay has started will require filling in the modification document of the academic agreement with the changes corresponding This document must again have the approval of the heads of studies.
  • The deadline for communicating this modification of the academic agreement will be:
  • First semester subjects: October 31
  • Second semester subjects: March 31
  • Only the subjects that are incorporated in the academic agreement and in any of its modifications will be recognized. In order for these documents to be valid, they must be signed by all three parties: the student, the destination university and the UB.
  • A specific deadline will be set up in July to automatically register for both the subjects of your SICUE stay and those you will study at the UB (in the event that you leave for a single semester).
  • In principle, the destination University contacts the students before the summer to formalize the registration (without payment) of the subjects and groups that will study there. If they do not, we recommend that you be the one to contact them.

  • In order to recognize compulsory subjects from the UB, there must be academic equivalence, both in content and in the number of credits with the subject you will take at the University of destination. The same if you want to recognize a specific elective from the UB. In order for the Head of Studies to check the equivalence of the compulsory subjects and the named electives, you must send him the teaching plan for the subject you will study there.
  • If it is neither a compulsory nor an elective with a name, you can choose any subject from the University of destination. Equivalence in content is not necessary, but if it is in the number of credits, it will be recognized as a SICUE elective. These subjects will be counted in the total calculation of minimum credits necessary electives for the corresponding degree.
  • You can only enroll in a previously suspended subject to take at the destination University.
  • It is not necessary that the subjects you take at the university of destination correspond to the same course of the study plan. You can leave compulsory subjects without enrolling at the UB and take them the following year.
  • Graduates who accept do the TFG during the SICUE stay: Management and Public Administration. Degrees that DO NOT accept do the TFG: Law, Labour Relations, Sciences Politics and Administration, Criminology and double itineraries.
  • It is not possible to register for the subject of External Practices, except for the degree in Management and Public Administration.
  • Both in the case of the TFG and in the external curricular practices, the student must contact the coordinators of the destination University in advance to find out their feasibility.
  • At the request of the student and with the approval of the SICUE coordinators of both universities, a subject from a different degree for which an exchange place has been obtained can be included.
