Information for the student – Direction of Conservation and Restoration Projects (currently being phased out)

The course syllabus is divided into compulsory and optional modules.

Compulsory subject blocks are focused on specific aspects of contextualization and preservation. This module has a study load of 20 credits.

The optional subject areas are divided into two modules: Protocol, Procedures and Regulatory Framework; and Contexts. Students can choose to take from 5 to 10 credits from the first module, which is part of the master's degree in Direction of Conservation-Restoration Projects, and 5 to 10 credits from the second module, which is part of the master's degree in Urban Design. Students can also select a subject worth 5 credits from the master's degree in Management of Cultural Heritage, applied to cultural and heritage management. Depending on the academic year, other optional units might be available (see the Course curriculum).

Students must also complete a mandatory in-company or institutional placement with a total study load of 12 credits.
By the end of the course, all students must have completed a final project that sums up what they have learnt on the master's degree, and demonstrates the research skills of those who wish to go on to take the doctorate. The final project has a study load of 18 credits.
The placement and the final project may be competed in the first or second year of the degree.
