Education and Society

The purpose of the PhD programme in Education and Society is to train researchers in the field of education and social and educational intervention through the preparation of an original work of advanced research. The programme responds to a set of social needs and academic requirements directly related to the purposes of quality, innovation and improvement that educational and school systems, interventions and socio-educational actions pose in a globalized society of knowledge. The programme’s structure comprises eight research avenues that bring together a series of research groups with high research capacity and transfer potential.

The program can be completed remotely, but the Academic Committee requires the doctoral candidate to do one stay at the University of Barcelona each academic year.
