The University of Barcelona, through the Rector's Office, has actively collaborated in organizing the international congress Democracy4All, which explores the role of emerging technologies such as blockchain, Web3, and artificial intelligence in democratic governance.
This event, which will take place on November 21 and 22, 2024, at the Faculty of Economics and Business, brings together experts from around the world to analyze how these tools can promote more transparent, secure, and accessible democratic systems. This year, the meeting, which will be held entirely in English, will focus especially on the governance of artificial intelligence, as well as the challenges of information traceability and digital trust.
The conference will allow students to delve into innovation and connect with the international community of technology and governance experts. For this reason, 150 places have been reserved at a symbolic price of 8 euros for students to participate. Additionally, this activity is eligible for recognition of 0.5 elective credits, as it is recognized by the Vice-Rectorate of Students.
