Five researchers from the Faculty of Economics and Business are among 2% of scientists with the most influence
PhDs Daniel Albalate, Germà Bel, Xavier Fageda, Ramón Flecha and Ana Moragues are among the 2% most influential scientists. Dr Albalate, Dr Bel and Dr Fageda repeat the ranking of the previous year, remaining among the most cited researchers in their disciplines; Dr Albalate and Dr Fageda, in the disciplines of Logistics and Transport, and Dr Bel in the discipline of Political Science and Public Administration, all of them included in Economics. Dr Flecha and Dr Moragues enter this year for the first time in the ranking, in the discipline of Experiental Psychology encompassed in Education in the case of Dr Flecha, and in the discipline of Economics and Agricultural Policy encompassed in Geography, in the case of Dr Moragues.
The new update of the Scopus database, published by the Elsevier publishing group and known as the Stanford ranking, measures the influence of research staff according to their production and the impact it has on the fields of knowledge in which publications are registered.
