Science and Integrated Management of Water
Mobility
ERASMUS+ Programme
The Master's Degree in Science and Integrated Management of Water is open to student mobility, specifically within the ERASMUS+ programme (http://ec.europa.eu/education/erasmus-plus/index_en.htm).
This exchange program adressed to European European universities allows that master's students taught at other European universities carry out part of their MSc studies within our programme Integrated Science and Management of Water (INCOMING), and also that students enrolled in our master's degree can study part of their ECTS credits at other European university (OUTGOING) (with which the Faculty of Earth Sciences of the UB has previously established an exchange agreement).
To authorize these student exchanges, a series of specific regulations have been established by the MSc Coordination committee, on top from those already established by the ERASMUS+ program. These regulations, which are listed below, are designed to that these exchanges can be carried out within the current regulations of the UB, are compatible with the MSc curriculum and are compatible with the programme.
For INCOMING students:
- To have a high enough knowledge of Spanish language to be able to follow the courses. At least a B1 level is required (see user guide, table 1 of chapter 3 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: learning, teaching and evaluating [link to file]). Spanish is the language of this MSc programme.
- To be enrolled up to a 20 ECTS credits of compulsory and optional courses of the MSc programme, or the 25 ECTS credits of the Final Master's Project.
- If the student wants to carry out the Final Master's Project at the UB, they need to follow the current regulations on this subject (see Final Master's Project section) and demonstrate that they have the appropriate training skills in the field of Science and Integrated Management of Water equivalent to those that should be achieved by the students enrolled in the programme at the end of the first semester of these studies.
For OUTGOING students:
- According to the current regulations, the mobility action must be carried out during the third semester of the academic year (Spring semester). This means that that the MSc students can only take the subject of the MSc Final Project outside of the MSc curriculum as of March 1 (when they have finished all the courses).
- Take a course equivalent to the MSc Final Project that is taught at the MSc in Science and Integral Management of Water, and that, at the host university, has a teaching load for the student of a minimum of 25 ECTS credits and is evaluated by means of a written report and an oral defence.
- Before carrying out the stay at the foreign university, the student should do the first oral presentation stipulated in the Regulations for this subject of the Msc Degree in Science and Integrated Management of Water. This presentation normally takes place in January/February.
- At the end of the stay at the foreign university, the student should deliver the MSc Final Project course coordinator a copy of the MSc final report, which has been evaluated at the foreign university in paper and electronic format (PDF).
