Master's degree application
Online degree application procedure
Once you have all the qualifications in your file, the Secretary's Office will check that you meet the requirements to obtain the degree, and you will be able to apply for it. The application must be made from MonUB, section "Degree application". To apply for the degree it is essential that you are up to date with your enrolment fees, without any unpaid receipts, either for this or previous years.
It is very important that you check and modify, if necessary, your personal details and identity document, as we will generate the certificate on the basis of the data you validate. You will also need to specify whether you want to receive the receipt of the degree application with a handwritten signature, which you must collect from the Secretary's Office, or with an electronic signature in pdf format (foreign students must request a handwritten signature if they want to legalise the degree). If at the time of making the application the system gives you any errors, you must send an email to (masters.ciencies.terra@ub.edu) with the errors detected or call the following telephone number: 934021337.
After completing the application, you have to pay a fee of 218,15€ (price established in the Decree of prices of the Generalitat) that can be paid by credit card or by a receipt that can be paid at any branch of CaixaBank, BBVA or Banco Santander.
Once the application and payment have been made:
1.-If you have authorised the telematic consultation of your data, the Secretary's Office will check that you have made the application correctly and, afterwards, you will receive the receipt of the diploma in accordance with the option you have chosen.
2.-If you have not authorised the online consultation of your data, you must go to the Secretary's Office to hand in the corresponding documentation. Consult the opening hours.
The receipt for the diploma that you are given will have the same legal effects as the diploma until it has been issued. However, in order for the receipt to be valid in other countries, you must request a certificate to replace the degree and subsequently legalise the certificate (more information).
Delivery of the degree
The Faculty will notify you to pick up your degree when it has arrived at the Centre. It is important that during this period the Faculty has your updated address. The diploma will be delivered to the person concerned or to another person authorised with power of attorney. If the power of attorney has been formalised before a foreign notary, the document must be legalised through diplomatic channels or apostilled, if the state from which the document originates is a signatory to the Hague Convention of 1961.
If the holder resides outside Barcelona, he/she can request in writing to the centre to send his/her diploma to the Government Delegation-High Inspectorate of Education or Subdelegation of the Government or to the Consular Office closest to his/her place of residence. This service requires the prior payment of a fee for the cost of sending the diploma.
