Doctoral studies
The title of doctor is the highest that may be awarded by the University and is obtained after the successful completion of a doctoral programme and the defence of the doctoral thesis.
Doctoral programmes are a set of activities that facilitate the acquisition of the necessary competences and skills to receive the title of doctor.
The Doctoral School of the University of Barcelona (EDUB) is designed as the new organization that develops doctoral training, in accordance with the University's strategy, and all the UB doctoral programmes are affiliated to it.
