Distinctions for the teaching work of Francesca Peiró

Francesca Peiró, professor at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Barcelona, has been recognized with two distinctions for her teaching quality: the Jaume Vicens Vives distinction for University Teaching Quality and the distinction of the Social Council of the UB, in the modality of individual teaching career. The first was given to him by the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonés, and the Minister for Research and Universities, Gemma Geis. The event was held at the University of Lleida last September 15, coinciding with the official inauguration of the 2022-2023 academic year of the Catalan university system. The second distinction was given to him by the rector and the president of the Social Council of the UB at the inauguration of the 2022-2023 academic year that took place in the Paraninf of the UB on October 3.

According to the press release of the Generalitat de Catalunya on the agreements of the Executive Council announcing the Jaume Vicens Vives distinction, it is awarded literally for "being a pioneer in the implementation of the active teaching methodology and continuous evaluation, as well as in the 'adaptation of teaching to virtual environments and the encouragement of students' digital capabilities'.
