Five research groups, several competitive research projects funded by European, national, or regional institutions, and participation in international research networks underscore the relevance and the quality of the research carried out within the Department. The existence of consolidated research lines and the quality of the research output (published in excellent journals and publishers), as well as the activities devoted to knowledge dissemination and transfer show not only a high level of excellence, but also a high potential for growth.
