The Departments of Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of the Faculty of Chemistry have merged into the new Department of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Chemistry. The old departments become "Departmental Sections".

Dr. Miquel Esteban Cortada has been chosen as head of the department and Dr. Jorge Labanda Angulo will be the new secretary.
