The University of Barcelona continues to progress and consolidate itself as the best university in Spain in the main international scientific rankings. In the new edition of the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), the University of Barcelona goes up to position 103, and wins nineteen positions with respect to the year 2016. The promotion is due to the improvement in indicators such as publications, citations, the influence of research and the international impact. In the field of scientific production, it is classified in position 50 of the world, while 51, 89 and 92 places are in international impact, citations and influence, respectively.
