The Faculty of Chemistry maintains its hegemony with the best degrees in the whole of Spain, according to the new 2020 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject
Once again, the QS World University International Ranking by Subject 2020 places the Faculty of Chemistry as the institution with the best degree in Chemistry in Spain. The bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Enginnering and Science Materials hold the first, fourth and fifth position in Spain, respectively. Internationally, the Chemistry, Materials Engineering and Chemical Engineering degrees are in positions 51-100, 151-200 and 101-150, respectively.

The University of Barcelona is one of the 50 best universities in the world in the disciplines of Anatomy and Physiology (position 14 in the world), Library and Information Management (43), Philosophy (45) and Archeology (47), according to The new edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020. It is also one of the 100 best universities in the world in the fields of Arts and Humanities, Life Sciences and Medicine, and Natural Sciences.
This international ranking, published today, Wednesday, March 4, evaluates the position of 1,368 institutions around the world in a total of 48 disciplines corresponding to the fields of knowledge of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Management of Business, Life Sciences and Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Engineering and Technology.
The UB is among the 100 best universities in the world in 18 of the 48 disciplines of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020. Specifically, these are the disciplines of Archeology, Art and Design, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Agriculture, Anatomy and Physiology, Biological Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Chemistry, Marine and Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Anthropology, Education, Librarianship and Information Management, Social Policy and Administration, and disciplines associated with Sport. In addition, the UB scores in 38 of the 48 disciplines of the international classification.
