Remember that when handling cryogenic liquids you must wear a lab coat, goggles or face shield, tanned shoes and specific protective gloves.
The supply of gas must be centralised as a priority and only in very specific situations and always with the prior authorisation of the person in charge of the centre, can the presence of gas bottles in the laboratories be authorised.
An inventory of the gases used at the centre must be drawn up and kept up to date (locations, service points, supply points, number of ampoules, volume, type of gas, safety measures, detections, etc.).
Gases which, due to their toxic, hazardous or flammable characteristics, require fire detection systems, shall have such systems connected to a central unit that alerts the centre’s control and alarm point, so that the self-protection plan can be activated, if necessary.
