Use of natural light

Description

In order to illuminate a space correctly, it is often not necessary to use any artificial lighting system, but you only have to follow various tips that allow us to take advantage of different resources at zero energy cost.

What can I do?

  • Try to use as much natural light as possible.
  • Avoid using artificial lighting if it is not necessary. Depending on where we are, we can have enough natural light.
  • The correct use of curtains or blinds depending on the weather conditions or the time of day can allow us to make better use of natural light.
  • Change the organisation of the space in order to make the best use of natural light according to the activity that takes place in each place.
  • Avoid placing dividing elements that block the natural light coming, for example, from a window. If you want to separate one space from another, you can use low dividing elements. Translucent or transparent elements can also be used.
  • If light colours are used on walls and ceilings, less artificial lighting will be needed.
