Description
An important part of energy consumption comes from lighting, but if we make good use of it, we can achieve significant energy and economic savings.
What can I do?
Turn off the lights when you leave your work place or room.
- Replace incandescent bulbs with other energy-saving bulbs, such as compact fluorescent or LED bulbs. If you can’t find an alternative to halogen bulbs, try new generation bulbs.
- Try to keep the lamps clear to achieve maximum brightness.
- Avoid over-lighting spaces, as this is a waste of energy and creates visual fatigue. Distribute artificial lighting systems appropriately, placing light in the places where it is necessary and with adequate power.
- Whenever possible, use lighting regulation and control systems (zone switches, presence detectors, time programmers, etc.).
