Service Letter

The Organizational Development Research Group was created as an emerging group financed by the Catalan Govern in 2017 with 9 members. In the current call it is consolidated by the Catalan Govern (2021SGR0690) and has 16 members.

The research group works in three main research lines related with the organization:

1) entrepreneurship and leadership,

2) internationalization and innovation and,

3) sustainable management.

The research is multiline, meaning that the frontier lines between each topic are blurred.

The group members can give support and advice organizations (public, private) in several aspects, the most important are listed below classified into those more sectoral- than more business oriented.  However, other services could be agreed in a more customized approach.

 

At the sectoral level:

  • Market analysis and descriptive reports
  • Analysis of the market tendencies and processes based on both qualitative and quantitative research. It includes data gathering (surveys, focus groups, interviews, documental information, sectoral reports, etc.) and data analysis (machine learning, econometric analysis, partial least square, etc.)
  • Sectoral studies (secondary data analysis)
  • Strategic analysis of the environment and specific business sectors
  • Cooperative strategies
  • Development of sustainable strategies, ecosystems, entrepreneurship and innovation for regions, sectors, and firms
  • International connections in different environments
  • Patents analysis (description, content analysis)
  • Network analysis and measurement
  • Analysis of business efficiency and performance at the sectoral and business level
  • Adaptation of business practices to specific situations
  • New business models at the sectoral level

 

At the business level:

  • Support to business plans development
  • Analysis, planning, implementation and control of social responsibility practices and other sustainable practices
  • Identification, support and evaluation of strategies, oriented to implement multiple practices: innovation, disruptive innovation, human resources, sustainable practices, entrepreneurship, internationalization, etc.
  • Strategic evaluation and analysis for domestic and international firms (business reports, prospective studies, case studies, etc.)
  • Process optimization using Lean Six-Sigma: experiment design, control charts, robust design, mapping and process optimization
  • Planning sustainable practices implementation and integration (management systems, certifications, etc.)
  • Business diagnose, elaboration and monitoring of attraction and retention plans for foreign direct investment
  • Executive training in different areas, such as, negotiation skills, sustainability, circular economy, innovation, entrepreneurship, etc.
  • Improvement analysis for the implementation and integration of sustainable practices
  • New business models at the corporate level
