Medín Peirón is a classic trained musician, student of the pianist Jean Pierre Dupuy and graduated in Sonology from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Esmuc). As an electroacoustic composer, he trained in France with masters such as Denis Dufour and Jonathan Prager, beginning with the last one also in the art of acoustic performance. His works have been presented at festivals such as «Festival de Música Contemporánea de Alicante» (Alicante, Spain), «Mixtur» (Barcelona, Spain), «Musiques d’ajourd’hui» (Perpignan, France), «Futura» (Crest, France), «Cycle Experiences du son» (París, France), «Musica Electronica Nova» (Poland), «Musicacoustica» (Beijing), and the «New York City Electroacustic Music Festival» (New York), among others. He also participates in the concerts organized in Barcelona by “El Sindicato de Altavoces”, the acousmonium of composer Pablo Fredes. Passionate about the Barcelona neighborhood of Poblenou, its beach and electroacoustic music, he works, as a member of the «Orquesta del Caos», in the dissemination of this musical genre in Barcelona, collaborating in the organization of the Festival of Electroacoustic Music and Sound Art «Zeppelin». He is also an independent consultant for «ACA» («Àrea de Creació Acústica») in Búger, Mallorca, where he collaborates in the programming of the «Encontres de Compositors». He is currently developing a PhD at the French electroacoustic school under the direction of Carmen Pardo.
