Director of the Chaos Orchestra and festival Música 13, Founder of Nau Còclea, Member of the Academie Internationale de Musique Electroacoustique and Honorary President of the International Conference of Electroacoustic Music of the International Council of Music of UNESCO, he has been awarded by institutions such as Internationale Ferienkurse de Darmstadt, Gaudeamus Foundation, Prix de Musique Electroacoustique de Bourges, Concorso di Musica. Fondazione Russolo-Pratella, , International Rostrum of Electroacoustic Music del CIM-UNESCO, , Festival de Músiques Contemporànies de Barcelona, Radio Nacional de España and Castilla-La Mancha Video Award. In recent years he has tended to express his artistic thinking through real-time installation and computer science devices, with reflection on the philosophy and history of science, the limits of artificial language, ethics, life and intelligence, robotics, information metabolism and the limits of human perception and understanding. His most recent works include Silenci, Transfer, La Casa de la Pólvora, Mega kai Mikron and Autofotóvoros, and performances like Minf, On Nothing, Lambda-Itter (with Jane Rigler), Expanded Piano (with Agustí Fernàndez) and Desde dentro for microscope, electric guitar and electronic generation of sounds and images. His pieceLuci, sin nombre y sin memoria, was awarded with the ARCO/BEEP 2008 Prize for Electronic Art.
He is former president of the Association of Electroacoustic Music of Spain, currently Honorary President of the International Conference of Electroacoustic Music of CIM/UNESCO, member of the Académie Internationale de Musique Electroacoustique/Bourges, of the Academy of the National Council of Music of CIM/UNESCO, of the Council of Experts of MISAME, of the Board of Phonos Foundation and the Fundació d’Artistes Visuals de Catalunya.
