The challenge of facilitating research in the classrooms

How to promote research in the classroom is one of the topics discussed at the Conferencia de Decanas y Decanos de Educación held in Pamplona (May, 10-11).

With the aim of increasing teaching and research quality, the Regional Government has signed an agreement with the Navarran universities (University of Navarra, Public University and the UNED centers in Pamplona and Tudela) to facilitate research in educational centers.

The intention is to open the door of the centers to the research staff, and that this is committed to transmitting their knowledge beyond scientific environments. On the other hand, personalized seminars have also been promoted between researchers and education personnel with educational centers, and issues such as data protection in human resources or multilingualism have been addressed.

The objectives of the day were:

– Disseminate the teaching professional development model and the APD system (Access to the Teaching Profession), identifying the similarities and differences with the health MIR, to highlight the specificity of the teaching career.

– Promote a dynamic of dialogue of all the sectors involved in the development and implementation of the model: Educational Centers, regional and state administrations, Unions and Universities.

– Develop the key elements of the APD system through consensus and contributions from the Faculties of Education Sciences and Administrations. For example: reference centers, supervisory profiles and tutors, linked teaching staff, APD competences program.
