The selection and training of teachers is currently a controversial issue. How to ensure that the professionals who dedicate themselves to teaching have an academic trajectory that fits the profile of the place and the demands of the students is not easy. In addition, the criteria of the scale, regulated by law, have been changing and undergoing modifications.
Today, initiatives such as Academia or ReserchGate allow, among others, to measure the impact of publications of different researchers as well as define, categorize and even qualify the researcher based on the different ratings obtained. In this way, it is becoming easier and more feasible to perform a balanced evaluation of the researcher in question that allows a weighted selection of the profiles (since factors such as age, trajectory, number of publications, etc. can be taken into account).
