Round table participants: Technology, social crises and policies: Challenges for education and learning #IRED19

This week we introduce the participants in the round table ‘Technology, social and political crises: Challenges for education and learning’ that will take place on November 4 within the framework of the 1st International Conference on Research in Education organized by the Institute for Research in Education of the University of Barcelona.

 

The rapporteur of the table will be Dr. Gilson Schwartz, and the speakers will be Dr. Núria Fuentes, Dr. Linda Castañeda and Dr. Carla Fardella.

 

Dr. Gilson Schwartz currently works as Associate Professor of International Audiovisual Economics at the Department of Cinema, Radio and Television (CTR), School of Communication and Arts, University of São Paulo and as a member of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program Diversitas at the Faculty of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences (FFLCH) at the University of São Paulo. Gilson does research on “Iconomics”, Digital Financial and Monetary Systems, History of Economic Thought, Economic Policy and Development Economics.

Dr. Núria Fuentes holds a degree in Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona. She is a specialist in areas of exclusion and social risk , child and family protection systems, adoption processes and family adaptation. She is a member of research groups (Grup de Recerca sobre Intervencions Socioeducatives en la Infància i l’Adolescència-GRISIJ-; Xarxa Catalana d’Investigadors sobre la Infància i la Joventut) and several associations related to pedagogy (Associació Internacional de Formació i Investigació en Educació Familiar-AIFREF-; Associació Interuniversitària d’Investigació Pedagógica-AIDIPE-) He has a long career as a teacher in several university degrees of the University of Barcelona; and has published several papers related to this specific areas.

Dr. Linda Castañeda is a Professor of Educational Technology. She is a member of the Technology Research Group of the University of Murcia. She works on specific aspects of research in Technologies and Education from the Educational Technology Research Group of the University of Murcia. She is currently working on research projects focused on:

– Personal Learning Environments

– Implementation of discourses in Educational Technology

– MOOCs

– Teaching competence for a digital world

– Teaching Innovation in Higher Education

– Critical Perspectives on Educational Technology

She is part of the editorial board of the European Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education, of the Journal of New Approaches in Educational Research, and of the GITE journal, the Interuniversity Journal of Research in Educational Technology.

Dr. Carla Fardella is a Psychologist and Doctor in Social Psychology. She is currently a Professor at the Universidad Andrés Bello de Viña del Mar, in Chile. She has worked as a professor at the Autonomous University de Barcelona and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, in Chile. She has participated in the research projects ‘Ethics as identity referential. Managerialism and labor identity in professionals in the field of social policy implementation, primary health and municipal education in Chile’ and ‘Academic Lives, Institutions in Dispute: The Organization of Work and Academic Subjectivity in a Context of Transformation’. She has been Responsible Researcher of the postdoctoral project “The reorganization of academic work: work scenarios, daily practices and identity”, and is currently Responsible Researcher of the project “Scientific work in Chile: Instruments of public action. Everyday practices and work identities”.
