REVISTA CATALANA DE PEDAGOGIA CALL FOR PAPERS VOL. 25 (publication: May 2024)

Deadline for papers: September 15th, 2023

ECOPEDAGOGY, COMMITTED AND COMPREHENSIVE LOOK FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CITIZENSHIP

The Revista Catalana de Pedagogia (RCP) is a free, open biannual publication of the Catalan Society of Education, a subsidiary of the Institute of Catalan Studies.

The main objectives of the RCP are to become a quality platform for the dissemination of research and education and training experiences and to promote debate and educational reflection contributed by professionals and/or researchers.

The Ecopedagogical perspective is a comprehensive and dialogic approach which encourages learning based on everyday life, context, interests and needs of people. This educational perspective always considers three dimensions: a) one’s awareness and self-knowledge, b) the connection of one with another and, c) the connection with the social and natural environment. The great purpose of Ecopedagogy is the development of critical, empowered human beings committed to their community and environment. In other words, the development of citizens who actively participate in the construction of an inclusive and sustainable society.

Volume 25 of the Revista Catalana de Pedagogia is open to research presented from this approach and which can shed light, based on the detection of needs or evaluations of good practices, on actions on how to implement the ecopedagogical perspective from any educational context.

Based on this approach, the RCP encourages you to send research results and emerging innovations on ecopedagogy. Contributions with international collaboration or by authors from several institutions, written in English, as well as contributions that significantly enrich the corpus of theoretical and scientific knowledge especially from the field of research, will receive a special welcome.

The articles can be sent in Catalan or English. Papers accepted by the journal will be published in one of the following sections:

· Research articles: must have a maximum length of 8,000 words and a minimum of 4,500. They must fit into the following sections: introduction, material and methods, results, conclusions and discussion, and bibliography.

· Experience articles: they must be between 4,000 and 5,000 words long at most. They should be adjusted in the following sections: introduction, context of the proposal, proposal for intervention, conclusions/discussion, and bibliography.
