A strategy to deal with controversial issues, according to Martin Rosenbaum.
A group of university researchers are studying the possibility of creating a journal that allows articles to be published under a pseudonym. In this way the fear of dealing with certain issues that create controversy would be lost, on which usually large doses of self-censorship appear.
In the words of Jeff McMahan, professor of moral philosophy at the University of Oxford and one of the organizers: “It would allow people whose ideas could put them in trouble with the left or with the right or with their own university administration, publish under a pseudonym “
It is anticipated that the Journal of Controversial Ideas will appear next year. It will be an interdisciplinary journal with peer review.
