Marta Gràcia and other researchers presented an oral communication to the International Research Seminar on focus where Oracy of the Special Interest Group Reading & Writing & Oracy, organized by ARLE, held in Leiden (The Netherlands) on April 3-5, 2018.
On April 3-5th the International Research Seminar on Focus where Oracy of the Special Interest Group Reading & Writing & Oracy, organized by ARLE, was held in Leiden (Holland) and brought together international experts interested in teaching and oral language learning in formal educational contexts, from early childhood education to university.
Marta Gràcia, coordinator of the CLOD and PR of the project “Support systems for teaching decision-making (SSD) and the development of linguistic competence” (EDU201563616-P), presented an oral communication prepared with some of the project’s other researchers entitled “Self-assessment of teaching strategies and decision making to improve oral skills of kindergarten and primary school students: the use of EVALOE-SSD” and a poster, prepared with a researcher from the CLOD group, entitled “Oracy in the curriculum: the case of Catalonia”.
In the oral communication, preliminary results related to the project being developed focused on the design, construction and validation of a digital system of formative evaluation and decision making for teachers, the EVALOE-SSD, in relation to the development of the oral communication competence of students in early childhood and primary education, in which schools from Catalonia, Spain, Brazil and Ecuador are participating. The main objective of the project is to help the teachers to reflect on their educational practice and improve it. The poster presented a presented the main contents of the Catalan curriculum regarding oral communicative competence.
