Nuria Castells and Mercè Garcia-Milà, members of the Institute of Research in Education and of the Research Group Critical Use of Information in High School Students (UCRES), are the Principal Investigators of this project,with reference RTI2018-097289-B-I00, granted in the call “Research Challenges” of the state R & D program oriented to the challenges of society. The objectives are:
- Analyze some factors that affect the critical use of information by Secondary School students.
- Analyze the effect of the agreement of the information (concordant or discordant) and of the access to sources in the degree of credibility of the false news and in the critical thinking.
- Design and evaluate an educational intervention based on the promotion of a strategy of critical analysis of texts, to promote autonomy in the critical use of information.
The project will be carried out between 2019 and 2021 and is made up of the following researchers:
