International Conference “For a decolonizing and productive postgraduate training”
Antonio Ramón Bartolomé Pina (director of the Institute of Research in Education) participated in the international conference “For a decolonizing and productive postgraduate training”, on April 27th, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia).
The event was organized by the Ministry of Education of Bolivia, through the Pedagogical University of Bolivia, the Specialized Unit of Continuous Training (UNEFCO), the Complementary Training Program for Teachers (PROFOCOM) and the Superior Schools of Teacher Training (ESFM).
Among the various contributions, we highlight:
– Antonio Ramón Bartolomé Pina: He addressed the theme “School in the XXI Century”, emphasizing the implementation of technology, universal education and the changes that the new era implies for teachers. “Today we are in a completely different society and education has to be completely different from what it was in the 19th century.”
– Gregorio Casamayor Pérez: Focused on the continuous training of teachers and on the application of theory with the competences that must be perfected. He noted that “scientific knowledge doubles every five years and therefore, one must be updated even more when he is a professor to be able to transmit this knowledge”.
– Nancy Román Durán: He stressed that “I think a new alternative for teachers and students to update these important issues that are seen every day and this should continue to drive so that as teachers we have a new perspective.”
