Deadline: 30 January 2022
This next issue of the Journal wishes to echo the ethical principles that float in times of crisis, such as the present. From a pedagogical point of view, ethics requires a praxis in the ways of life, which is reflected in the different spheres of society.
It seems that prioritising particular interests over collective or global interests is characteristic of times of global crisis. The current global situation once again highlights this tendency of humanity. However, the evolution of human knowledge and expertise can guide us towards greater ethical awareness. The monograph aims to gather pedagogical reflection through research or experiences that highlight this evolution at the ethical level, intending to rescue contributions that reveal new ways of acting that propose ethical principles over economic ones; global and planetary sustainability over individualistic interests; social justice over polarised attitudes in decision-making, from the most micro to the most macro levels.
From this approach, we welcome papers on the ethical principles that pedagogy proposes as new paradigms in times of crisis, as well as educational experiences that are committed to collective and community interests over individual ones, both in formal and non-formal educational centres, and in neighbourhood, city or rural environments, hospital pedagogies, in the field of the media, politics and economics, infrastructures and architecture, management of the social sector and the most vulnerable and disadvantaged environments.
The Catalan Journal of Pedagogy (RCP) will particularly welcome submissions that significantly enrich the corpus of theoretical and scientific knowledge, especially in the field of rigorous and quality research. In addition, submissions with international collaboration will be particularly welcome. International collaborations are considered to be those contributions whose authorship is made up of authors from institutions in different countries.
Articles can be submitted in Catalan or English. Papers accepted by the Journal will be published in one of the following sections:
– Research articles: they must have a maximum length of 8,000 words and a minimum of 4,500 words. They must fit into the following sections: introduction, material and methods, results, conclusions and discussion, and bibliography.
– Experience articles: they must be between 4,000 and 5,000 words in length. They must fit in the following sections: introduction, the context of the proposal, intervention proposal, conclusions/discussion and bibliography.
