Research visit of Dr. Nelson Pretto to the Institute of Research in Education (IRE)

Professor Nelson de Luca Pretto, from the Federal University of Badia (UFBA) in Brazil, is conducting a research stay with the Learning, Media and Social Interactions group of the University of Barcelona and has also joined the group as a visiting professor. ‘Institute for Research in Education (IRE) of the University of Barcelona.

Nelson Pretto is Full Professor of the Faculty of Education, of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). He has a doctorate in Communication at the School of Communication and Arts / University of Sao Paulo (1994), a degree in Physics (1977) and a master’s degree in Education (1985). He has been a research fellow at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT), Director of the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Bahia (2000-2008) and Editor of the Revista da entreideias: educação, cultura e sociedade
