8th Conference on Life Stories in Education
Eighth edition of the “Conference on Life Stories in Education” organised, on this occasion, by the Esbrina research group in collaboration with the Department of Didactics and Educational Organisation and the Cultural Pedagogies Unit of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona.
The meeting will take place at the Centre de Recursos Específics de Suport a la Innovació i a la Recerca Educativa (CESIRE) on 28 and 29 April.
In this eighth conference, it has been chosen to delve deeper into the role of visual resources in life histories, which is why the title of the conference is “Life Stories in Education. The role of documents and visual strategies as triggers and mediators of stories“, this being the focus of the meeting.
The methodological approach is based on open and frank dialogue on the works presented, encouraging debate and reflection.
The lines for the presentation of works are:
- Life stories and photographic archives.
- Images as triggers for encounters and shared stories.
- Images as an expansion of onto-epistemologies of life stories.
- Images as a device for making the invisible visible in life stories.
The papers will be published on the conference website a few days before the conference so that they can be read by those attending. The papers submitted will be assessed by the scientific committee of the conference and each participant will receive a response of acceptance before 8 April 2022.
