A team of experts on chiral materials with the participation of the researcher Oriol Arteaga, (Faculty of Physics and Materials for Energy, Photonics and Catalysis (ENPHOCAMAT)) has been awarded with the Horizon Prize from The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) of the United Kingdom, for the discovery of chiral organic materials that allow a high control of proton and electron spin.
As part of the study, Oriol Arteaga focused on the optical characterization of the new organic materials that absorb and emit circularly polarized light with a technique known as Mueller matrix polarimetry, in which he is an expert.
