DNA-interacting properties of two analogous square-planar cis-chlorido complexes: copper versus palladium.

Categories: Notícies

A collaborative work between Nanoscience and Bio-Inorganic Chemistry (nanoBIC) and the Universidade Federal Fluminense (Brazil) describes how two structurally similar metal complexes,  [Cu(CPYA)Cl2] (1) and [Pd(CPYA)Cl2], display a distinct behavior against DNA. Their findings highlight the key role of the metal center of potential DNA-targeted metallodrugs.
