Summary

SOLIDS(ON)CLOUD aims to create a space for debate where researchers from different countries will reflect on the current state of 3D technologies. Technologies that allow us to convert the materialization of a work into a new form of expansion of Art, which in turn conditions and determines the processes of creation and production.

Three-dimensional editing allows us to design sculptures that, because they are digital, can be shared on the Internet. This characteristic allows anyone to materialize these prototypes and, consequently, new relationships arise between the digital, the technological and the material. In turn, the audience expands and changes, conditioning the reading and its reception.

The idea of the reproducibility of art, to which we are so accustomed in the audiovisual and graphic field, expands to the sculptural and objectual. This is one of the aspects that we want to develop in our Laboratory on the Internet, and analyze how this property conditions and determines the artistic piece, both at a conceptual and formal level.
