Summary

In this workshop we will focus on the risographic printing technique, which is characterized by its unique style and ability to produce vibrant, textured images.

During the course, we will learn how to properly prepare files for printing, ensuring that each graphic element is optimized for the best results. We will also explore the necessary graphic resources, including color selection, image resolution, and document setup. This course is designed to provide the tools and knowledge necessary to be able to effectively bring ideas to paper.

The characteristics of the risographic technique can be summarized in these aspects: Stencil technology: It uses a template or master to transfer ink to paper, similar to screen printing. Vibrant colors: It produces very saturated and striking colors, thanks to the special inks it uses. Printing speed: It is a fast method, ideal for printing large volumes in a short time. Cost efficient: Compared to other printing methods, risography is more economical, especially for large runs. Substrate versatility: Can print on a variety of materials such as paper, cardstock, and adhesives. Sustainability: Uses soy-based inks, which are more environmentally friendly and create less waste. Limitations: While great for vibrant colors, it may struggle to reproduce fine details and smooth gradients.
