Program

The conference will be held in person and is divided into two parts, the first open to the public, which consists of the presentation of papers and case studies, with subsequent debates. The second, aimed at people who are part of the institutions linked to the Campus de les Arts, consists of a working seminar, to promote the activation of interdisciplinary projects.

- The papers and debates have simultaneous translation (English - Spanish).
- The seminars will be in Catalan and Spanish.
- Participation as an assistant in the conference will be accredited by the IDP-ICE Institute for Professional Development of the University of Barcelona.

Giorgos Kallis.
ICREA researcher at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technologies (ICTA) of the UAB. Involved in research projects on economics and ecology, he positions himself as a non-disciplinary researcher. Author of the book Limits. Ecology and freedom.

- Art + Science as transmaking of things
Yvonne Volkart.
Research manager at the Institute Art Gender Nature, Academy of Art and Design FHNW, Basel. Currently leading the project «Plants_Intelligence», and recently the project «Ecodata–Ecomedia–Ecoaesthetics», a research that combines media technologies with technoscientific methodologies (recording, collecting and interpreting data).

Fernando Hernández Hernández.
University Professor of the Cultural Pedagogies Unit at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona. He carries out projects related to arts-based research, the post-qualitative turn, new materialisms, and the approach to cartographies as epistemology and methodology. He was the editor and coordinator of the "White Paper on Research at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona" (1998).
He directed the 1st Conference on Arts-Based and Artistic Research (2003). He is co-author with Natalia Calderón of the book "Artistic Research, a Space for Disruptive Knowledge in the Arts and the University" (2019).
