Summary

Series of conferences, debates and workshops around the development of digital technologies in the field of art. In just a few years, the digital image has transformed our ways of seeing and thinking and, like the snake's skin, it changes our ideas and transforms our culture. These transformations are probably one of the most significant events since the very invention of the image. Reflecting on this fact leads us to consider the need to debate the impact of the digital image as a generator of meaning in artistic practices.

Many are the questions that arise around them. We want to promote dialogues that help us generate knowledge and create an open debate around the extension of printing and its involvement in other disciplines, evidencing the dissolution of the barriers between them. That is why we have invited different artists, theorists and specialists who develop creative experiences in this field.

This cycle is an activity generated by the BINARY PROSPECTS R+D research team, from the Department of Painting and the Engraving Section of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona, funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology - currently the Ministry of Education and Science and the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).
