He was a Mexican economist, PhD in Economics by University of Paris X and a researcher and lecturer in the Center of Economic Studies of Colegio de México in economic theory and industrial organization. He used to write a weekly op-ed in the Mexican newspaper La Jornada. He was a member of the editorial board of Sin Permiso.
