She has a PhD in Psychopedagogy from the University of Barcelona. Her doctoral thesis Intercultural communicative competence: a study in Compulsory Secondary Educationwon the Extraordinary Prize of the same university and the third National Prize of the CIDE.
She has been a professor since 1999 at the University of Barcelona in the Department of Research Methods and Diagnosis in Education (MIDE). She teaches in Masters, Postgraduates and Degrees, mainly in the areas of research methods, practicum and citizenship.
In 1998 she joined the GREDI (Intercultural Education Research Group), and participates in research on topics such as intercultural education, education for intercultural citizenship, and the development of intercultural skills. In recent years she has specialized in intercultural and interreligious dialogue. She has been a researcher in more than 60 research projects, of which she has coordinated more than 10. They are the result of its dissemination, the authorship of more than 70 articles and more than 20 books.
She has been a methodological advisor at the ICE since 2000, specializing in quantitative data analysis. Since 2008 she has been the coordinator of the Research Methods area of the MIDE department.
