Summary:
In this research project on university teaching, the main objective is to contribute to a more pluralistic approach to teaching-learning methods at the University, focusing especially on those that encourage self-management, reflective thinking and student awareness in the construction of knowledge. The experience gained confirms the value of narrative for the development of reflective practice and competence development in all the subjects involved.
Objectives
To provide strategies and devices that facilitate reflexivity on the process of knowledge production, learning and professional development of students within the framework of the different subjects involved. It also aims to contribute to identifying the characteristics of learning environments that support the development of this basic competence for learning.
Methodology
The project responds to an evaluative research for the adequate management of innovation proposals such as those intended within the framework of the different subjects involved. The proposed design follows a descriptive-interpretative approach combining quantitative and qualitative techniques.
4
Phases
Phase 1 – Analysis of intervention contexts and design of learning strategies
Phase 2 – Implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the process
Phase 3 – Evaluation of the results and effects obtained
Phase 4 – Preparation of the report: conclusions, proposals for improvement and transferability of the results
Transfer
Beyond its value as a research project on teaching, REDICE 16-1660 has also allowed the consolidation of a community of practice, a network of research teaching staff, which aims to deepen the theoretical basis, systematisation and validation of the innovation experiences developed by the promotion of reflective thinking through narrative methodologies in five universities in Spain: Universitat de Barcelona (UB), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Universitat de València-Estudi General (UVEG ), UVEG-La Florida, and Universidad de Burgos (UBU).
